ART HAVEN FAQ & POLICIES
Art Haven is a 501c3 non profit, centrally located at 20 Maplewood Ave in Gloucester.
We have been supporting the next generation of Cape Ann artists since 2008
Our mission is to foster self-expression and inspire a connected, creative community through art education. Art Haven removes the barriers of cost and transportation by providing need based financial support and collaborative mobile classes with our partners across Cape Ann
-
Our classes focus on the art-making process. We incorporate fine art materials and concepts into engaging projects that emphasize collaboration, experimentation, and self expression.
-
When dropping your child off, please accompany them inside each day.
We will need to confirm your contact information (we require two emergency contacts) and who will be picking your child up.
Please be patient, there can be a brief wait. We do this for your child's safety.
Please a quick call if you are running late
-
We have four tandem parking spaces in front of Art Haven. They are located to the left of the stairwell. Please use these spots for pick up and drop off.
If you are planning on parking for longer, please use spaces outside of our lot in the surrounding area.
-
It can get messy, please dress kids accordingly.
Bring a snack & water bottle (we are a nut free facility).
For summer programs
please apply sunscreen before dropping kids off.
If your child is staying until 3:00 pm, please pack a lunch and a second snack.
-
We understand that kids get sick and schedules can change
Please alert us as soon as anything comes up so we can work with you to adjust and keep
our classes available to as many kids as possible.
-
Behavior issues are rare at Art Haven; however, some children have needs that exceed what we are able to support. When concerns arise that affect overall safety or our ability to provide a high-quality experience for all students, we will contact you to discuss them.
Our policy is to work collaboratively with parents to address any issues. In some cases, the best solution may be for a child to take a break from Art Haven if their needs are not a good fit for our current resources.
Every child is unique and develops at their own pace. Our goal is to partner with families to find the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
