Nature Art Week

What happened this week at Art Haven?

Nature art week was loads of fun! The great weather made going outside every day for inspiration quite, well inspiring. Every day we had a new nature oriented activity to keep us occupied and to teach us that nature can provide more than enough supplies for artistic expression.

So, what did we create?

  • Paintings from Fitz Hugh Lane Park
  • Leaf animal creations
  • Nature mobiles
  • Sand sculptures at Pavilion Beach
  • Painted rocks
  • Leaf rubbings
  • Sea glass mosaics
  • And so much more!

And, what's happening next week?

Drawing and Illustration Week!!

Summer Programs are going to be Awesome!

Summer is right around the corner, and here at Cape Ann Art Haven, we can’t wait for it to start! Each year, we provide unique and exciting visual arts programs all summer long for students in grades 1-5. The programs promote creativity and learning through hands on activities in a variety of art media. Through instruction from our awesome summer staff and collaboration with local guest artists, children might create anything from a group mural on the wall of a local pizza shop, to a screen printed T-shirt of their own design!

Summer programs at Cape Ann Art Haven will run Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm. The cost, which includes all materials and a snack, is $150 per week.

In addition, this year at Art Haven, we will be launching a new component to our summer programs- the Cape Ann Creative Crew! The Creative Crew will function similarly to open studio time, providing an opportunity for students to continue their artistic pursuits through more self-led creative projects. Staff will assist students in creating artwork in the medium of their choice. Creative Crew will run Monday-Friday from 1pm-3pm. The cost is $50 per week. Staff will be available to supervise an optional lunch hour from 12pm-1pm.
