Cape Ann Art Haven of Gloucester is seeking a Program Manager to plan and implement operations at Art Haven, a center where children develop creativity and confidence through hands-on learning and collaboration; The Hive, a dynamic community art space for teens and adults and Teen Artists Guild (TAG), where teens are mentored and trained to become successful working artists. Founded in 2008, Art Haven, The Hive and TAG occupy approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of studio and office space in Gloucester, a vibrant arts community.
The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate the daily operations of Art Haven, The Hive and TAG including class scheduling, teacher and volunteer recruitment, community out- reach and collaboration with other non-profits. They will also lead the TAG programs which provide teens the opportunity to provide design and creative services for local businesses and community groups while also selling their own artistic works and products. TAG members also benefit from the opportunity work with mentors in their chosen medium.
• Bachelors Degree, in a relevant field including education or the arts
• Demonstrated ability to manage people and programs, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• 5+ Years of relevant experience
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with significant attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects
• Ability to oversee daily financial operations and track revenues and expenses
• Self-motivated, willing to work collaboratively, with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced,
• A passion for providing access to the arts for all people regardless of their talent, age or ability

Art Haven Program Manager
Art Haven and The Hive are two studio spaces in Gloucester where children and teens attend after-school, weekend and summer classes, exploring techniques in nearly every visual art form imaginable. Artists are encouraged to develop creativity and confidence through hands-on learning and collaboration. Teens and adults also attend evening classes and make use of open studio times throughout the week. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the Executive Director to create and implement programs and classes
Coordinate class and teacher schedules; provide direct supervision of teachers and volunteers
Maintain effective tracking system for all materials and supplies
Host community events such as pumpkin carving, ice sculpture building and buoy painting
Create & distribute class flyers for Art Haven and The Hive; develop and maintain mailing lists
Teen Artists Guild (TAG) provides skills training and hands-on education to creative teens looking to harness their artistic potential in an innovative business environment. TAG is housed in The Hive and has access to all of the studio facilities including a graphic design lab, ceramics studio, painting studio, spray facility and screen-printing studio. Responsibilities include:
Facilitate positive learning experiences for TAG students through work experiences, training and mentorship opportunities
Assign Project Leaders and Student Workers to each commissioned job; provide support to Student Workers throughout the creative process
Promote TAG services to local businesses and artist mentors; facilitate relationships between businesses, mentors and Student Workers
Maintain accurate records of jobs and work groups, student hours, and program revenue and receipts
Represent the organization and its mission to the parents, teens, the public and donors
Along with the Executive Director, implement effective branding and marketing
strategy; maintain social media and website content
Assist the Executive Director in maintaining data and producing reports for grants received
Ensuring proper handling and care of equipment and art supplies
Organize the use of both sites; keep space clean and organized
Coordinate site improvements with the Facilities Manager
