Whether you have never drawn before, or want to update your techniques, this course will teach you new ways to think about drawing from life!
Foundational skills in drawing will be built through exercises touching upon composition, line variety, diverse mark making, value, contour and proportion.
Students will work observationally from still life, the human figure, and the landscape.
About the Instructor
Cathy Kelley is a graphic designer and art instructor as well as fine artist and lover of making things! She brings her passion for creating as well as intellectual curiosity to Art Haven, developing exciting classes that are full of fun & packed with learning. Cathy graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in their printmaking department and continues to love working in a variety of media including printmaking, drawing, painting and sculpture. Currently she is a graduate student at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Cathy has lived on Cape Ann for twenty years.
